[MADELINE left normal]
...
This house looked a lot smaller from the outside...

[GRANNY right creepA]
You will encounter much weirder things on the {+MOUNTAIN}.
[GRANNY right normal]
Since you've invited yourself in already, you may take a look around. It is a good idea for you to prepare a bit for this journey.
I'm too old now to use all this but I have a home gym that is specifically designed to prepare for the Mountain.
[GRANNY right laugh]
You can also just wing it if you like but don't come back whining when you have trouble later on.
[GRANNY right normal]
Just ask me if you don't know what to do at some point, I'll be there.

prologue_tutorial_six_jump=
[GRANNY right normal]
6-jumps are a more advanced version of 5-jumps.
It uses the same principle where you can grab higher up at the upper part of a wall after jumping.
For a 5-jump the extra height is enough to make the jump possible, but this isn't enough to jump over 6 tiles.
For this you have to also carry some momentum forwards. You can achieve this by doing a neutral jump so that you land in the heightened position you would normally do the 5-jump from.
Immediately after grabbing there, continue to hold right and climb jump to the right.
It can also help to choose a specific positioning for the start of the neutral to make the 6-jump more consistent.

prologue_tutorial_climb_buffering=
[GRANNY right normal]
When grabbing, many entities (for example zip mover, move blocks or falling blocks) get activated.
When you climb jump off of these entities they normally are activated as well.
This is preventable however by buffering the jump input.
In practice, this means you grab the wall and continue to hold grab. Then you jump and right before {+MADELINE} actually grabs the entity you press the jump input again.
This results in a climb jump that does not activate the entity.
The timing for this is a bit awkward, but it gets a lot easier when using a second jump keybind. For this you hold grab and jump and press the second jump key right before the jump before ends.

prologue_tutorial_climb_buffering_2=
[GRANNY right normal]
When starting away rom the wall you just have to press jump right before reaching the wall.

prologue_tutorial_crouch_tech=
[GRANNY right normal]
When starting to crouch, it takes a little while until friction stops your movement.
You can use this to slide a small distance when starting to crouch to enter smaller gaps without dashing.

prologue_tutorial_crouch_tech_2=
[GRANNY right normal]
Using two jump keys (similar to climb jump buffering) is also useful to retain a crouched state through climb jumps, since you uncrouch when falling or releasing the down key.
You can crouch and then perform buffered climb jumps while continuing holding down.

prologue_tutorial_dream_block_enter_cancel=
[GRANNY right normal]
You can prevent yourself from entering a dream block even though you dashed towards it.
For that you have to hold the direction key opposite to your dash direction and just before reaching the dream block buffer a jump input.
This is not possible at any point in the dash though, only towards the end.

prologue_tutorial_dream_block_crouch_retain=
[GRANNY right normal]
When crouch dashing into dream blocks, it is possible to retain the crouched state after exiting the block. For this just crouch dash into the block and then perform a dream grab.
If you try to crouch dash back into the block and perform another dream grab while still retaining the crouch, you will actually uncrouch, so you need to stop crouching before trying to retain crouch again.
Different to most scenarios, you can also climb upwards without loosing the crouched state.

prologue_tutorial_dream_block_crouch_retain_2=
[GRANNY right normal]
You can use this to perform a crouch jump with the retained crouch.
When crouch jumping with the retained crouch, you have to climb jump because wall jumps cause you to uncrouch. It is also useful to combine this with a wallboost to jump further away from the dream block.

prologue_tutorial_dream_block_crouch_retain_3=
[GRANNY right normal]
While climbing with a retained crouch, it is possible to climb further up at the upper end of a wall.
[GRANNY right laugh]
It's interesting but completely useless as far as I can tell.

prologue_tutorial_dream_refill=
[GRANNY right normal]
After collecting a dream refill, you enter the dream tunnel state. Dashing in this state makes normal tiles behave like dream blocks. You can also perform any tech you could normally do with dream blocks.

prologue_tutorial_dream_refill_2=
[GRANNY right normal]
Dream blocks on the other side become dangerous to dash into. Whenever you would normally enter the dream block, you die instead.

prologue_tutorial_dream_refill_3=
[GRANNY right normal]
Deactivated dream blocks behave differently again. They act as solid tiles when being in the dream dash state, no danger, no entering blocks.

prologue_tutorial_dream_refill_4=
[GRANNY right normal]
When using the dream dash to tunnel through normal tiles, you die if you reach the border of a room if there are solid tiles at the border of the room.

prologue_tutorial_feather_dream_block=
[GRANNY right normal]
Feather dream blocks are, as the name already says, dream blocks. The only real difference to normal dream blocks is the behavior while being inside the block.
While inside, the player controls like after collecting a golden feather.
Most dream block tech is possible but a bit different to execute (e.g. you have to hold the direction key for a dream grab very shortly before exiting the block because you just redirect yourself otherwise).
