The {#77aaff}AQUA grapple hook{#} can be thrown in the cardinal and diagonal directions, just like Madeline's dash.
The default keybind for throwing the {#77aaff}grapple hook{#} is {~}V{/~} on keyboard. I have no clue what it is on analog :)
You can check and/or change the keybind via {~}{#ffffff}Escape -> Mod Options -> Aqua -> Keyboard Config{#}{/~}.
While the {#77aaff}grapple hook{#} is thrown/deployed, hold your grab button to grab its rope.
You must be holding onto the rope to swing or climb, unless you have {~}{#ffffff}Auto Grab Hook Rope{#}{/~} enabled (which I highly recommend turning on!)
While holding onto the rope, hold a vertical direction to slide up or down.
While holding onto the rope, press jump to jump off the rope (this will also detatch the {#77aaff}grapple hook{#})
You can also press the {~}throw{/~} button again to detatch the {#77aaff}hook{#}.
The {#77aaff}grapple hook{#} will break if it hits a spinner. Don't assume that will happen with other maps though, as this is just a choice I made for this one.
To get used to movement using the {#77aaff}grapple hook{#}, I'd suggest playing through 1A first. But that's up to you :)

nascence_grapplemap_introC=
One of the fundamental moves of the {#77aaff}grapple hook{#} is the {~}swing{/~}.
Here, jump and throw the {#77aaff}grapple{#} up-right, swing by holding right, then press jump to exit the swing while keeping its velocity.
As mentioned earlier, holding grab is not required if you have the {~}{#ffffff}Auto Grab Hook Rope{#}{/~} option turned on.
Happy {#77aaff}grappling{#}!
