In the very first room, there is a hidden block that can only be broken by the Kevin-like entity "Melvin". Use the Melvin to break the block to its left.
START OVER
[MADELINE left angry] I could have done that the whole time??!

By the way, this key goes back to its original location when you die :3

Secret code - At the location of the first checkpoint, input the following dash code, then walk onto the bridge:
Downleft Downright Upleft Upright
(yeah i know its uncreative)

[MADELINE left sad] ...
[MADELINE left sad] Oh well, it was too good to be true anyway.

Mxyzptplk_troll01_scam2=

No, you still have to do the second chapter! Unlock the hole and jump into it, I promise it won't kill you this time.
[MADELINE left distracted] Yeah, no, I should have expected that.

Mxyzptplk_troll01_secret=

Hey, you've found the secret room! Well done.
If you don't mind, I'd like to talk a bit about this map and its development. (And if you do mind, you can skip the cutscene from the pause menu.)
This map is my very first fully completed map! I never expected to actually finish it, since before I started working on it I had tried to develop a much larger project without fully realizing how big of a scope it was.
I scrapped that project, and the burnout from working on it caused me to stop working on this map as well, for a while.
This map had been sitting, 90% complete, in my files for over a month... Eventually I picked it up again, but I worked on it at a much slower rate (that is, only when I felt like it).
I never felt like I would finish the map, but I did, and it felt amazing. I'm quite proud of how it turned out.
The map started out with the goal of picking a few custom objects, and only using those objects (and vanilla or vanilla-adjacent objects) to create a troll level.
That way, the trolls could feel more restrained, and not like I could do whatever with the player whenever I wanted.
I tried to keep it tame as well, making only a few trolls per checkpoint, and placing many checkpoints throughout the level.
(Actually the reason I started to make the map is because I loved SMM2 troll levels, but I didn't like having to run through the entire level every time I died.)
The visual style of the map was originally a generic volcano level, but over time it became more and more inspired by Rain World's Rubicon area.
A space and gravity altering amalgam of every other area in the game, filled not with lava, but a strange yellow fluid capable of dissolving anything and everything over time...
Replace "amalgam of every other area in the game" with "cavern/volcano" and it's a description of this map.
Even the room you are in now is a direct reference to an Easter egg room in Rubicon! Just like in the original room, there's no gravity, and you can jump/hyper/ultra/etc off any surface.
Anyway, enough gushing about a completely different game you probably haven't played.
I'm glad I finally finished a high effort map, and I'm glad you took the time to play it and find this secret.
Thank you!
